PUBLISHED, JUNE 2015!
Beit Polska is most pleased to announce the publication of this historic prayer book for the Union of Progressive Congregations in Poland – Sidur Bejt Polin.
Please join in supporting the publication of this Sidur. Your continued participation is making Jewish renewal in Poland a reality.
Sidur Bejt Polin contains Shabbat and Festival prayers as well as home ceremonies. A beautiful series of readings and meditations will lead people back into prayer.
The prayer book is gender sensitive, which is a new idea in Polish religious life. It features a contemporary Polish translation with Hebrew facing and a transliteration. A unique feature will be the internet links to essays in Polish about the history and development of the Sidur, which is the first Progressive prayer book since before World War II.
This is a milestone in the renewal of Polish Jewry. For over two years we have used this prayer book in our eight communities. We have discussed, learned, and debated many issues. We are proud of this achievement.
